Spring is barreling towards summer, and the beautiful Wiltshire countryside has come to life with colour all around Chalk. It’s the perfect time for a wedding and we are thrilled to have hosted our first outdoor wedding last weekend – especially with the wonderful weather we were blessed with, really showing off the breathtaking views from the barn.
But we had a taste of things to come the weekend before with two wedding-themed events to spark the season into life, both in partnership with events company What Peggy Did Next. First we hosted a styled photoshoot that really showcased what’s on offer at a Chalk Barn wedding. It looked fabulous in the spring sunshine and we can’t wait to offer some of these ideas to some future happy couples! Check out our instagram page for a sample of what to expect.
The following day we hosted a wedding fair and bridal bazaar, as an opportunity for some of our preferred suppliers to showcase their own offerings. Around 300 people came along, some of whom are already booked in to celebrate their wedding at Chalk.
Cake designers, make-up artists and hairdressers vied to impress the intended, while our favourite caterers set up shop outside. Inside, a DJ held court in the middle of the hall, while on the mezzanine level we had a bridal boot sale, where newlyweds were selling all manner of wedding trinkets to inspire the soon-to-be-weds and maybe even save them a quid or two on a nice centrepiece.
It has been great to see both Chalk and its suppliers really show what they can do to make our weddings as special as possible, and its was the perfect week to hold our first big bash.
