What happens after your viewing
After your visit, we’ll follow up with further details on what we can offer at CHALK. If you shared a preferred date (or a short list of dates), we’ll include availability. We’ll also share the costs associated with hosting your wedding at CHALK, so you can make a clear, confident decision.
How to hold a date
If CHALK feels like the right fit, holding a date is simple. Just get in touch and let us know which date you’d like to reserve and which hire option works best for you.
Please note we can only hold one date at a time.
What happens once you’ve requested a hold
If your preferred date is available, we can place it on hold for up to 7 days. This gives you a little breathing room while you make your decision.
During your hold, many couples use the time to:
- Check their nearest and dearest can attend
- Confirm the council can accommodate their ideal ceremony time
- Speak to any must have suppliers
At the end of the 7 day hold period, we’ll check in with you to see whether you’d like to go ahead. If you’re not ready, we’ll release the date so it can be booked by another couple.

Some dates book faster than others so if you are considering CHALK, it’s worth reaching out as soon as you feel ready, so you have the best choice of dates.
