We’re absolutely thrilled to introduce this special edition of our series featuring Nat from Studio Feverfew, a dear friend to CHALK and a brilliant local florist based right here in Pewsey, Wiltshire. Nat has transformed countless luxury weddings across the English countryside with her stunning floral artistry, and we’ve had the absolute joy of working alongside her on so many memorable celebrations. We asked her all about wedding flower trends, her creative process, and what makes CHALK weddings so special to work on.

Tell us, what’s new, exciting or unexpected for upcoming 2026 weddings?

Over the last few years, we’ve seen a rise in single-variety (or mono-maid) bouquets and this trend isn’t slowing down. This is such a lovely way to create individual bouquets for your bridesmaids and we can then use all of the flower varieties in the bridal bouquet. For example, in Spring you could have a Tulip bridesmaid bouquet, a Ranunculus bridesmaid bouquet and a Sweetpea bridesmaid bouquet and then those 3 flowers could feature heavily in the bridal bouquet!

What is one thing you wish all couples knew about your business?

That everything we do is bespoke! We are really happy to be lead by your inspiration and Pinterest boards, but absolutely everything we create is individual to our couples and their day. Flowers very often are a huge part of the décor and ambience of the day, so creating something timeless and reflective of our couples is really important to us.

Is there a particular choice that’s become a surprise hit with couples or guests?

Adding fruit or veggies to the table as décor! It’s such a fun way to add more texture and colour to the tables in an economical way. It’s a lovely way to tie into your menu. For example, if you’re having lots of berries in your pudding, you could add clusters of strawberries on the tables at the base of bud vases or candlesticks. Other fruits that work really well for this are Apricots & Peaches or Figs & Cherries!

What’s one thing you wish every couple knew before planning their wedding flowers at Chalk Barn?

I love flowering at Chalk, especially when couples utilise the outdoor space for their ceremonies. The great thing about Chalk is that everything is on site. This means it’s really easy for us as florists to re-use florals from the ceremony and use them within the reception space, so keep that in mind when planning your florals.

What would your dream floral arrangement look like for a 2026 wedding at Chalk Barn?

I would love to flower an outdoor ceremony where the aisle was slightly curved, with lots of delicate airy meadows at the end of each row of chairs. This would create such a fun and interesting walkway for guests to walk along as they made their way to their seats!

If you could ban one wedding floral trend forever, what would it be?

Doing what others think you should!! My one big piece of advice to all my couples is don’t get caught up in the noise of the wedding industry telling you how your day should be. Do something that’s reflective of you as a couple. That’s always the best trend to follow!

What’s one choice you’ll never get tired of creating, no matter how many weddings it features in?

Delicate and yet impactful bud vases! They are so versatile – they can be light and airy, allowing for conversation and the sharing of plates between your loved ones as you eat, whilst also injecting so much colour and decoration to your tables.

Are there any trends you’ve seen come and go and any you wish would make a comeback?

Lillies!! I know they can often be associated with flowers that are cheaply available at the Supermarket, but you can honestly get some beautiful and incredible varieties of Lily! I would love to use more in my designs as they aren’t the “Grandma” flower they are often disregarded as!

A huge thank you to Nat for sharing her insights and passion with us. Her thoughtful approach to florals and dedication to creating bespoke arrangements truly sets her apart. If you’re planning your wedding at CHALK and looking for a florist who understands our space and will bring your floral vision to life, we can’t recommend Studio Feverfew highly enough.
