What style of weddings do you host?

Some Wiltshire wedding venues are instantly linked to certain types of weddings. For example, picture an ancient stone barn and rustic weddings spring to mind.

Because Casterley Barn was purpose-built in 2017, we offer a charming countryside setting with total privacy, but we don’t pigeon-hole you to one wedding theme.

A beautifully presented blank canvas wedding venue in Wiltshire, you can fill the ceilings with floral chandeliers, string up bunting or create a festival vibe with macramé dream catchers. We are proud of delivering dream weddings, whatever your vision may be.

Where can we actually get married?

One of the most important factors when choosing a wedding venue in Wiltshire is whether or not they’re licensed to perform civil ceremonies. If you want to actually marry there on the day, rather than holding a blessing, you’ll need a venue that is.

But there’s more to it than that, because only certain locations at a venue will be licensed for the big moment.

At Casterley, our dreamy garden arbour with jaw-dropping views over the Vale of Pewsey means you can marry outside. But, if the weather isn’t on your side, our glazed wall means you get the same magnificent setting if you tie the knot in the barn, too.

How many guests can we invite?

It’s important to know both the maximum and minimum numbers for this. At Casterley Barn, we can happily host 100 people for your ceremony and up to 200 for the party.

Watch out for some wedding venues that have a minimum number of guests – this means you may not be able to have an intimate wedding, or that you’ll be charged for guests you don’t have.

Is there a quieter space for guests to use?

This is often overlooked on your first visit to a wedding venue in Wiltshire, but a place for a quiet five minutes is a welcome addition for many guests, especially those at either end of the age spectrum.

Complete with an atmospheric log burner, our mezzanine loft gives guests exactly that, while still feeling involved with the party thanks to the bird’s eye view.

Do you provide a wedding planner?

This is something that will vary between each wedding venue in Wiltshire. Some locations are rented out as a dry hire base, so you’ll have to do all the work yourself without any help with coordination. Others will offer on-the-day assistance and some provide a full planning service.

At Casterley Barn, we’ll be with you every step of the way. With a flexible range of planning possibilities, we’ll give you as much or little help as you like. It’s your day, your way.

Can we choose our own menu?

Our hand-selected partner caterers can cook up a storm, whatever style of feast you’d like to serve. Casterley couples have chosen everything from visual canape extravaganzas to a three-course dinner to laid-back food trucks and even pie and mash!

What about the drinks?

We have a range of drinks packages to suit your taste and spend. So, whether you want a bespoke gin bar complete with theatrical garnishes, a line-up of local drinks or some seriously good craft beer, we can help you.

On the day, our master mixologists will be shaking, stirring and serving drinks to delight all your guests.

Where can we spend our wedding night?

At Casterley Barn, we believe in creating memorable experiences, from your ceremony to your wedding night. We don’t offer run-of-the-mill accommodation like any old wedding venue in Wiltshire.

That’s why we give wedding parties the unique opportunity to glamp in bell tents in our wildflower meadows. For added luxury, the wedding couple can also stay in the Shepherd Huts on our organic estate.
